A Bandoneon Experience

Music has always been a fundamental part of my life, leading me from a very young age to explore different instruments and even study percussion and guitar in Bellas Artes. One day, upon receiving my father's AA bandoneon, I discovered a new world of challenges and opportunities. After experiencing the difficulty of finding luthiers, high repair costs and the lack of information to fix it on my own, I decided to learn how to repair my own bandoneon by studying and learning from some luthiers in Argentina and Europe. I soon noticed that many bandoneon players faced these same difficulties and lacked the knowledge necessary to solve common problems such as wear and tuning.

After ten years of experience in repairs, my purpose was clear: to help bandoneon players maintain and tune their bandoneon in an accessible, safe and autonomous way.

In 2022, I founded Bandoneon Secrets, a project through which we achieved more than 50 success stories teaching bandoneon players to maintain and tune their instruments autonomously and safely. And in 2023 we created the first Bandoneon Online Store together with luthier Vicente Toscano, providing restored bandoneons and access to bandoneon spare parts and essential materials that facilitate the care and prolong the life of this very special tango instrument. I am currently developing a series of courses of great Masters of Music with my partner Lucas Larrazabal in our project Groupies de Gardel.
